| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SH3 Demo Final Thoughts by Ryan Hasseld -- 05/03/03 ! WARNING ! - We would suggest that if you haven't already played the SH3 demo, please don't read any further as Ryan will talk about what is in the demo. I have to say that once playing the demo, I can't wait for SH3 to come out! I've finally beaten the demo and would like to give my thoughts of what I think about it. I would suggest that if you haven't already played the SH3 demo, not to read any further as I will be talking a lot about what is in the demo. I may have put most of what I have to say into a walkthrough, but this may help for those that need more to understand what the demo is about. Last, there is a 15min. time limit to the demo. You may want to play the first time around to see most of the beginning cutscenes, and then your second time around, skip the ones you've seen. |

| Now about the demo. You play as the main character, Heather, which is walking into Lakeside Amusement Park. She thinks its all a dream... but is it. Once you take control of Heather, you will be going thru the only open door in the area your first at. Once you have entered thru that door, you'll notice up ahead a bandaged dog. With having been equipped with a knife, you also have a pistol and a automatic weapon. I would just run past it, but if you want, you may kill it. You should then later on come to, Mountain Coaster. Once you've made your way to the tracks of the coaster, keep going down the only direction you can do down on them, then there will be a cutscene. You'll have a few scenes after that, one of which you'll meet one of the characters, Det. Douglas Crevant. You'll be going thru the mall, finding items: beef jerky, tongs, health-restoring items, and much more. You'll also meet your first puzzle of the game in the bookstore of the mall. The puzzle is easy really, if you need any help with the puzzle, check out the GameFAQs SH3 Message Board for help. Once you've unlocked the door that is apart of the puzzle to unlock, there will be another scene showing you talking with Claudia. After the scene, head straight for the elevator. When inside the elevator, it will automatically go down, you'll also find what’s always been apart of all SH games, the radio that drops inside the elevator. When the elevator stops, walk out, then you'll see the final scene to the demo. This was a really good way to end the demo and to get everyone ready for the full release. I had a feeling once I got out of the elevator and saw the scene, I knew it would be the last I would see. Its like Heather is heading down, like down to hell, and may the nightmare begin... heh. Final Thoughts - I believe you'll enjoy everything you see in the demo. I'm sooo happy with what the game is looking like right now, its unbelievable. The demo will give you a good idea of what to expect when you play the full release of SH3. I don't think you'll have any trouble beating the demo, but if you need any help, head to the message board I posted. I just can't wait for SH3 to come out, I believe this will be another great SH game to add to the series, and from what I've already seen, I truly believe it will be.
