About Silent Hill 3. First off before I even start, I want to thank Konami Computer Entertainment of Tokyo (KCET). If it wasn't for Director - Kazuhide Nakazawa, Art Director - Masahiro Ito, Scenario Writer - Hiroyuki Owaku, Sound Director - Akira Yamaoka, and everyone that helped with the making of SH3 and the past SH games... there would be no SH games. I've always seen SH games as a game I can go to when down, sad, depressed or whatever would cause me not to act like my normal self. That's the same with SH3, but more to it than that. Just seeing this girl named, Heather, going thru a life of pain, sadness and so on in the game. She's put thru one of the worse nightmares a young girl like her could go thru. She's put thru a test of her normal self and the other side of her that wants to do wrong. Heather was a normal everyday girl, but then her whole world turns around and seems like hell. She must survive thru this hell to really know who she is. She needs to remember what her true self is. If you've played SH1 and got the Good or Good+ ending, you'll understand what the whole story in SH3 is all about. Heather is two different people. But for Heather to really, truly find out who she really is, she must not let the anger take over. We find in the game that Heather has a father, and her father is, Harry Mason for SH1. But once you get farther into the game, you find out that Harry is dead. Claudia tries to make Heather go thru this world of pain, trying to get Heather to release the god that is inside her. That god is Alessa. In SH1, we find that once Harry kills the Great Winged Demon at the end of the game. After beating the demon, Alessa reappears with a baby in her hands. That baby is.... Heather, or her real name, Cheryl. So Heather is both herself and Alessa which is inside her. It's up to you if you want Heather ot release the rage she has for Claudia, or let the god be born. I see Heather also being punished for all the other sins she probably committed in her teenage life. But Claudia will do everything she can to make Heather not be forgiven, and make the god be born. It took me awhile to understand what the whole story was really about. That's what I love about the SH games too, just having to think about what has happened during your adventure. You'll find names of characters what were in SH1. The whole story takes off where SH1 ended, but in some 17 years later. The music/sound of the SH3 is what you would expect from any SH game. Akira Yamaoka has yet again showed us that he can sure make music. I continue to listen to the soundtrack that came with the US version of the game, its a non-stop thing for me. Graphics are so damn real. Konami thought that the SH2 game engine wouldn't be the best so that made a whole new engine for SH3. I've enjoy the whole experience I got from playing SH3. Playing a female character this time was the best that I could ask for. Heather has it all. I sure hope KCET can keep the life of SH going for as long as possible. There are still a lot of ideas that could be made into a game, and let's hope that happens. I hope you all understand my final thoughts on Silent Hill 3 and have enjoyed the game more than I have. If I went too much into the story of the game and other SH games, I'm sorry. Thanks.
